Re. that penalty shoot out, Lineker says how he and Shilts had watched other shoot-outs and noticed that in most at least two pens would be hit down the middle, therefore the keeper wouldn't dive until the ball was struck giving him the opportunity of some easy saves. The Germans put all theirs in the corners.
