There were 2 Phil Parkes goalkeepers then weren't there?

Think that's Andy Goram you're thinking of there.

This was the QPR Phil Parkes who advertised Cossack hairspray.

But you are right, Wolves also had a keeper called Phil Parkes at around the same time, I had forgotten all about him.

Shilton was always a bit slow when facing penalties.

He wasn't very big for a goalie (by modern standards anyway) which is always a disadvantage when it comes to penalties.

We had that chant for Kerry Mayo.
There's only two Kerry Mayos.

His wife was Kerry as well.

"Leeds, who won the corresponding fixture 2-1 last season, could earn consecutive away league victories against Manchester City for the first time in 34 years." according to BBC

Whilst correct, the years were 1985 and 1987 for fixtures in what was Div2 . Since then they have only played league matches in Manchester 11 times.

Stupid use of statistics.

Ah, the beautiful game, remember that? Let's put down some jumpers and have a socially-distanced kickabout. Long shots only, and no hugging and kissing.
