During the period of booking a specific lane in our pool, one of the lifeguards was very proactive in moving people, but I haven't seen him for ages, and it's no booking/no time constraints now.

AC. I have been actually properly swum over. Including an elbow to the head.
Which is why I am reticent to go in with much faster swimmers now.
Yeah - had the fast lane had 2/3 in it, I'd have hopped over to that and said to them that I was much slower than them, but that I'd yield whenever needed (I always take a look on turning to see if I need to let anyone past).
But going from a lane with 6 in it to another lane with 6 in it seemed silly.

Someone did backstroke right over me in the lake me year. But that’s a whole other thread.

Not a criticism of breaststrokers, but that is another issue, it's a wide stroke....

I regularly get kicked by breaststrokers. I think its actually a fairly dangerous stroke in lane swimming as they often kick under the lane ropes and also can force you into the middle of the lane where you are more likely to hit a swimmer coming the other way.

exactly! I know they are faster (I was doing drills so focused on my stroke not pace) but when you know you have a wider stroke you don't cut people up

This exactly. There was one bloody woman who regularly kicked me under the lane ropes, I swear the evil bitch did it on purpose. I'm sorry to say that pool rage got me on one occasion and I chucked my pull buoy at her (missed).

Glad to say that everyone was behaving themselves at lunchtime - in my lane at least! Thought I'd done 1200m but Garmin says 1100m.
