Fragile Do Not Bend
They only live for a month (28 days or 30days, can’t remember which)

Oof, need to get squishing. Sitting on -8775 which is my worst ever score. Got an 80 and 76 point bug on a main road which I suspect are being regularly fed by cyclists.

Those pesky cyclists are a nuisance, aren't they Pothunter, they get everywhere. I know, I'm one of them! Well, not one of yours, you know what I mean |

Big GPS fail today where I planned a route to squish a number of bugs and garmin has failed me. If delete the imported route can I plot a route manually and the bugs will be squished? I haven't had such a big gap between route and reality for a really long time. Sorry new to this game so not quite clear on rules/etiquette. |

Short answer - yes - manual route plotting is perfectly acceptable. The only rule on that topic seems to be that you actually have to cover the ground you claim. Apparently there's a cycling App out there which allows you to follow virtual routes but saves them as though they were real - which caused some consternation a while back.

Did your Garmin fail completely or is it that it will not upload the run? If the latter, you may be able to import the FIT file which contains the route. If you end up manual plotting, you'll have to make sure sure you click within the bug's circle, which could involve a lot of clicks on top of your route clicks. From Fetch's explanation a while ago, each click reloads the map and the website incurs a charge each time. |

The route has been uploaded but doesn't match the actually route I ran. Not just a bit off - several KMs off from my actual route.

Sounds like you've unfortunately had one of those times when the GPS goes a "bit off" picking up a wayward satellite signal. Some people's runs have had them suddenly running a couple of thousand miles, e.g. over the Atlantic, in a few milliseconds - and back equally quickly.
