One of the diets I did ions ago we started the day with a hot water and slice of lemon dont know if it helped weight loss but I did quite like it.

That sounds familiar it’s like i do like a line and soda but come sitting down wanting an adult drink I’ll opt for wine!

Little wins. I am working on 2 night alcohol free a week I know it won’t always work. I’m far from having an alcohol problem but it’s my wind down I enjoy a glass of wine.

Tonight I went to running club and thought I’ll have a wine later. I did but I know 1 can & often does turn into 2 esp when we’re watching the box I was conscious 1’d enough. Left OH watching top gear and I went to bed with a cup of tea and a book.

The win is that I acknowledged I didn’t want /need another and went to bed.

I’m blown away with 1.4kg off this week, despite my sisters 60th birthday celebrations at the weekend.

On Saturday I avoided alcohol - I rarely drink at home so decided not to waste calories on it, having elderflower presse instead (probably the same calories as fizz, but it wouldn’t cause the willpower/mindful eating to fall off the radar)

I had breakfast pastries but calorie counted what I had and just had a banana for lunch as we were having a 3 course meal in the evening.

I had birthday cake, but saved it for the next day and had half my usual chunk of cake size, so could have some on Monday too.
I’m delighted to have lost 3lb this week! Geoff has too.

That is all excellent wins in the right direction GM. You’re right about cals in NA stuff and I often think I might as well just have wine but I’m trying to think on the health side. I don’t often snack if I’m drinking.

However with my cup of tea I had a piece of chocolate which was same cals but it’s breaking habits and I had over 400c spare + exercise calories.

Wow, that's fabulous GM well done

Am still struggling here and not in the zone- house is upside down as builders in trying to set out the leaking conservatory and have been cold all day yesterday and same today
