Fetch and Katie - thanks so much for all the podcasts you recorded - they were great fun and will be much missed. Completely understand your decision though xx
Just caught up with this having seen the other thread. Again many thanks to Ian and Katie - can completely understand all the reasons for stopping/resting it though - podcasts take up far more time and effort than the finished product suggests and I appreciate all the work you have both put into it (and the fact that I even featured on it a couple of times!)
I've been wondering lately whether there'll be a new episode, while thinking it had probably run its course. Coincidentally and ironically, I have just seen Fetch's post, having this evening taken the plunge to poke my forum watch list, with a view to clearing it, after leaving it in stasis for about two years - I was in a pretty bad place at the time, and keeping up with posts was just another thing that was adding to everything overwhelming me. So, I just stopped one day, and left the unread post counters start ticking up, and it was a little bit of weight off.
So, I understand I already miss hearing you both on the podcast, but you don't owe us a thing - there is so much else here, and you're both brilliant for making it all happen <3
This morning, we recorded a podcast! We took a bit of time to think about all the comments that you folks have made, and the various offers from everyone to get involved in some way.
Our thoughts at the moment is that we carry on, but with no fixed schedule. If there's no podcast for a while, that's ok - there'll be one when it's ready. Or there won't
The task of producing the podcast is easier with contributions - that's for sure. So the absolute best thing you can do to support and encourage us is to record a contribution and send it in. Our schedule might be determined by the number of contributions we have at our disposal. Or it might not
One other thing to note is that I've stopped using Buzzsprout as a hosting platform, and instead I'm hosting the files on the Fetch server. The cost of external hosting wasn't huge - but it was one consideration I had to take into account that didn't sit well with less-frequent shows. Running the site on a limited budget means that I have to think carefully about all outgoings.
Your podcast service might not have caught up with this change yet, and may still be looking for new files on Buzzsprout:
Apple Podcasts: I've submitted the change, but it might take them a few days Google Podcasts: ditto. Spotify Podcasts: seems to be instant
If you listen to the podcast via any other means, let me know and I'll make sure your podcast service knows where new episodes will live. Or won't live
In the mean time, the player at the top of this page should work.
Thank you all for your lovely comments! The Fetch Podcast Lives. Maybe

Contributors We love getting contributions. Here's how:
1) find somewhere with minimal background noise 2) recording on a smartphone is fine 3) start with "Hello Fetchies, it's..." 4) a couple of minutes is a good length 5) don't worry about ums, aahs and pauses. We can edit them out. 6) email the file to podcast@fetcheveryone.com
