[ITG, there was a thread like that ("one line at a time?") for a while. As I recall, it seemed to descend into the various different contributors each telling their own story in a fractured manner, often adding a paragraph or more at a time. I might be falsely denigrating the thread and all who taled in her with false memories].
By happy accident I discovered the 1.5x button on my phone and was able to cram in more of this week’s episode into my short wander with the dog. The voices took a bit of getting used to but I might stick with it and hopefully clear some of the backlog of other podcasts.
I can recommend Stephen Fry and James O’Brien. And Desert Island Discs, Adam Buxton, and Ramblings with Claire Balding.
I didn't know I had an accent, however I suppose there are dialect differences throughout the country. There is a Norfolk accent to our south and a Yorkshire accent to our north so I suppose we have one too. I think I assume we haven't got an accent because there are so many other foreign languages and many people from the city who have moved further north for the 'commuter belt' cheap property we used to have but that have increased in price because of that.
I've only got about half way through the podcast because the battery on my earphones died half way through my run.
Fetch made me laugh out loud (while running up a steep hill) when he talked about the strangely satisfying leg hair removal. I think the Spanish already think I'm a bit bonkers running around here, and laughing up hills will probably confirm their suspicion. And I enjoyed the chocolate waffle... more chocolate waffle please
There’s and U20 Six Nations as well as the Women’s one. RTE show the Ireland games, on a Friday night.
Dad and I went to the Women’s Rugby World Cup when it was held in Ireland a couple of years ago. We were sat next to a couple of Americans. Half way through the USA game, one of the women next to us pointed at one of the USA players and proudly noted that she had been knocked out by her in a game at home.
