We're having our first in-house orchestra rehearsal tonight. I can't wait to see everyone in person rather than over Zoom.
We've got a couple of slots at the bandstand by the river in Windsor on the 31st. Should be good!

How exciting! Have a brilliant time. I got to play for a conducting workshop on sunday - it felt amazing to be part of harmony again. It also took a little while to feel like we were managing to play in tune. A certain amount of adjustment was required.
Have a good rehearsal tonight Nick.

That all sounds fab.
Our orchestra is off for the foreseeable: we were due to go back on the 13th (decided back in May) but the room we practise in is quite cramped and round here is a bit of a Covid hotspot too. I'm having face-to-face cello lessons again though, so at least that's something.

Nice. I’m trying to organise a new rehearsal space for our office choir. Hoping to start again in September (we usually take August off anyway)

No, I'd never heard of it. I just looked it up and, interestingly, that was the club I used to be a member of! Do they have a band for entertainment?
Live rehearsal was fantastic last night. When we started the first tune, that blast of sound sent a tingle up my spine. The conductor had a great big smile on her face too! 🙂
