Definitely one to be careful of, but more straightforward than you might think. It probably looks terrible from a distant perspective, but Twistleton End is probably just as steep.

I think mine is in with my fell running kit. I was given one the first time I did the race and have reused every time since. Don't get why everyone else doesn't do the same.
So wasteful to have a new one every year

Ours are in the dressing up box too, along with the blow up sumo suits we wore for a wedding fell race 6 years ago :).

The fact that both of you have "dressing up boxes" is quite concerning.
All fancy dress should be banned. Immediately. And perpetrators made to pay massive fines.
And anyway, it's not "dressing up" it's essential fell kit for that race (and a couple of others).
So you store in the wrong place.

fozzy, just to let you know that youโre barred from any future gigs I may perform, for the sake of your own blood pressure ๐

Fancy dress was invented by the Devil.
Hate it.
And I have good reasons for that. But this isn't the place for that discussion.
But if I were benevolent dictator, it would be banned instantly.

Not that you're opinionated in any way Fozzy. By the way, I usually discard my santa hat on the way home from The Stoop - most often in a hedge - and then take a new one the following year.
