Rosehip
Loved the sheep fetch - watched in the early hours when I was struggling for sleep - missed the end. Recorded to use for similar again

Managed to get out for first decent run up in the Dales last night, didn't see a soul. Coming off Buckden Pike at about 8.30pm was surprised by a US Boeing Osprey flying up the dale on some kind of training flight - not the kind of thing you expect to see 🙂

Think I'm going to go for a trot up to Simon's Seat over the BH weekend. Should be quieter than Ilkley Moor or Wharfedale.
After 2 months of running every concievable trail route I can think of in the locality, I'm getting bored!

NE I've seen a number of pictures of the US Boeing Osprey in the Lakes during lockdown (taken by locals). I don't know whether they've been using the quieter times to get in extra training or if it's just coincidence?

That's interesting FF, I wonder if there is a detachment stationed in the UK now?
Fozzy - I think I read somewhere that Wharfedale had been very busy this past week, but I'm not kidding - the fells were deserted, we did not see a soul, nor did we see a single person in Kettlewell, it was like a ghost town. Ground very hard underfoot btw, I don't think I've ever been up there and kept dry feet - even the really desperate bit leading up to Great Whernside from Park Rash.

Cheers NE.
I'm going to venture up to Kettlewell at some point (in the evening) to do the Kettlewell Anniversary route - since the race cannot go ahead, I thought I'd commemorate it in my own way

We were talking about the Anniversary race on our way back yesterday, real shame it can't go ahead - it's a little cracker

I did the first ever one and it was the inspiration for many fantastic days training in the area. I’ve now idea how many times I’ve crossed from Littondale to Wharfedale and vice versa. One day I’ll be back for another run round
