Amazing read but I'm not in the least bit tempted.

Turns out my wall is open I just didn’t see the announcement. To be honest at this time of year I’d probably rather be out in the kayak or on the bike rather than a stuffy, sweaty gym hall.

I suspect we won't restart climbing till after the summer unless we have a really rank spell of weather. Too many outdoor things to do, not enough time.

I always chuckle when you guys talk about not climbing unless the weather is really bad…
I rediscovered my online logbook whilst I was on UKC yesterday. It really has been a very long time since I climbed properly. I think this is the summer to get that put right.

The joy of faffing with ropes and knots and expensive metal doofers and geeking out with fellow climbers while your partner shivers to death that comes with "real" climbing is lost on me.

I'm with you V'rap.
Plus a healthy fear of heights. 🤣
I go so often it's an hour or two so just like a gym visit. There's also an outside bouldering wall.

I love knots and I love desperately trying to tilt the Crag Guide sketch this way and that in a vain attempt to identify a route, but I think it’s the expensive metal doofers that make me the happiest!
