Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thinking of going to Bristol, which has several walls. Any recommendations of which one to go to (incl T9)? Mr W wants to go to The Church.

The Church was always very good, back in the day. But I haven’t been since 1999, so don’t take my word for it!!

We mostly used to go to The Warehouse in Gloucester back then. It used to be really good too.

St Werburgh's ( the church) is a great place, I climbed there from 2011 for a few years. It had a really inclusive feel, as a beginner it was ideal, really nice vibe😊

A good session last night. We warmed up climbing then bouldered for a bit. I flashed 3 V3’s, which were new routes and are likely to be V2 when we go back. I can say that with confidence as I’ve never climbed a V3 before.

You also Did climb one which was Definitely a V3 though.... so you can have that one 😉

My hands ache more from bouldering than ‘normal’ climbing this morning.....

Been bouldering. I enjoyed it. I have to say I like the restrictions. 4 in the boulder area is a nice number. It doesn’t feel crowded and I feel more confident to give stuff a try. Usually in winter it’s really busy and there’s so much testosterone. There’s often groups of great climbers working on something difficult and I feel self conscious about asking if I can try that really easy (but not for me) problem that’s on the same part of the wall. Tonight myself and the 2 other women on the wall were similar ability and working together a bit. Hopefully I can cultivate more confidence before any kind of normal service resumes.
