Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Sushi.
The tougher measures in Wales mean that my climbing buddy can’t cross into Zmy county so we can’t meet at the climbing wall

Also it may reduce hrs or close as only 15% of regulars live in the county.

Totally sucks.

That’s frustrating sushi. Can you boulder instead?

Yes but a big part of it for me is the social side with one of my closest friends.

They have loads of auto belays too but I’m terrified of them. All to do with my fear of heights I think. I’m ok when I have a well trusted belayer but not a bit of machinery.

Whilst I remember, QP will need to find a placement in the UK for his outdoor leadership course to begin in April (if the situation allows). Climbing is his discipline of choice and so I wondered if any climbing fetchies have bright ideas of where he could be looking. I have suggested Peak District based might be a good shout. Anyone on here have personal experience of outdoor centres?

Hp, I saw a few weeks ago that Ferny Croft Scout Activity Centre was looking for apprentices, so Scouts could be a good avenue. The YHA have activity centres too.

Can’t help I’m afraid hp ☹️ hope A finds something xx

I’ve just climbed my first 6b not one of my projects -the red volume project continues - the route was set last week; gorgeous little crimpy bastard of a route 😀😀😀 (Scarily I flashed it! 🤪 nearly lost it on the penultimate hold but clung on!!!) There might have been some *squeeeeeeeeeeing* and a big endorphin rush afterwards 🤣🤣🤣

We’ve also just gone out longest session since post-proper lockdown.... 2hrs 45 and my arms are toasted 😬

2 x 6bs flashed. Did a route that I failed about 3 from the top on Tuesday that was graded 6b. They’ve regraded 6b+ and I managed that too.
