I think probably doing HIIT workouts throughout lockdown as well as yoga has helped with climbing.
I forgot to mention a slight covid cockup last night. I was chatting to Paul who was in charge last night. I was asking for some advice about a couple of problems and I was lamenting my short arms. He then decided to compare wing span with me - face to face and touching hands 🤦♀️ At least he was wearing a mask.
My arms will be toasted after tomorrow - made the most of a quieter wall today; tomorrow evening will be busier. Finally topped my 6a+ long white overhang-at-the-top project on my last climb of the session..... forearms are definitely feeling the increase in training over the last week..... shame we won’t be able to reap the benefit.... #firstworldproblems
Wot Dave said but did my 6b project. Well chuffed. Really enjoyed the session. My body is now ready for a break though - 5 sessions in 8 days 🤣
I am going to so miss that place, the difference I think it has made to my mental health over the past few months has been big - somewhere to go to switch off and feel like I’m getting better at something; plus the endolphin rush too of finishing a route or the satisfaction of knowing you’ve climbed something well and smoothly.... hopefully not too long before we’re back.
And now HP - it’s down to you to fill the thread with tales of your climbing - and I look forward to hearing them 😀😀😀
