Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Good stuff, hp. Apparently T9's "legs were too tired after cycling" to boulder today (grrr to wasted pennies) and I wasn't there to encourage (bribe) him...

Two moves from topping a slightly overhanging 6b+. I worked out how to do it, then hit the sequence wrong, didn’t use my legs properly and my arms packed in.

I managed to get my second hand to the top of a V4 yesterday. The last hold is hiding round a corner which you need to get to while trying to keep your feet on a really shitty foot hold - this makes the move very-easily-barn-doorable (which I have done many times trying to top the bloody thing).

I now do not have to climb it again.

(But I know I will at some point *just to see*)

I also think my arms need a break. My right forearm tightened up using the spray bottle when cleaning the bathroom earlier.

(No comments about not cleaning the bathroom to stop it from happening again because Dave will appear and say I don't clean it enough anyway..... and he's allowed to as he does virtually the whole of the rest of the house...... he's a good chap ;-) )

I was looking at grading today and I’m probably lucky to be hitting V2 so super impressed by team Phave/Dal :)

I think I’m already back climbing similar grades to previous though which is good. I had the boulder wall to myself again tonight and have 3 realistic projects and one ‘how the hell do I even start this thing’ project.

In anticipation of a new lockdown next week, we have booked ourselves in today, Monday and Tuesday.
It’ll give us a month to recover.

HP, we’ve been going 2-3 times a week. Plus weight training during and after lockdown. That’s what has helped our improvement.
One benefit of my shoulder injury in January is that I had to start the weight rehab which has helped my improvements.

I’ve not weight/core trained since we started climbing again as I’ve found I need the recovery time instead.

I anticipate weight/core training starting again next week 🤪
