Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Interesting analysis monsenb1 & SPR.

I've apparently been in the 80's & 90's accuracy in my other completed games but did make a few errors in this one. At this position I felt many of my pieces were stretched on 2 jobs and despite material advantage and black double pawn I couldn't see a way forward and felt a draw fair.

The missed win "1" will be useful to look into, I can only analyse 1 game a day.

Awaiting the obvious fresh eyes spotting a breakthrough from this position:

In my game with Maclenanne we discussed a draw but I think that'll open up in the next half a dozen moves or so and there could be a result one way or the other.

JK hope you can get back to playing after a break.

^ p.s. my white Bishop was locked away for most of the game, effectively reversing the material advantage...

rhb I don't understand where that 'missed win' would come from.. the computer suggested moving your king?!

I made a complete hash of things against Shurely. Embarrassing.

monsenb1- I'll take a look tomorrow, perhaps the computer isn't that clever after all.

In other news... I still haven't won against Beth (the computer) aged 10. 😂

rhb - analysis of that have was screaming out for you to play Kh1 - can’t see why besides avoiding the check on the diagonal.
As for your quiet bishop, analysis thought you should have taken his knight’s pawn on move 5 with it & won his rook!

"you should have taken his knight’s pawn on move 5 with it & won his rook"

Oh yeah, massive oversight 🤦‍♂️
