I was embarrassed that my garmin watch buzzed to say my stress levels were high in the very first OTB game I played last season - it was not connected to anything though! Amusing to see the stress graph coincide sharply with the 3h playing sessions at a chess congress - it's not the heart rate directly, but something to do with variability.

I've played a few across-the-table games with my stepsons, and got the app on my phone again. I am hopeful that I'm about to take down a 1571 ranked player, after he attacked my queen on move 15 whilst accidentally leaving me the option to counter-attack by taking the supporting knight and putting his king in check. I've managed to hang on to the advantage, and I think he's made another mistake that will let me get his bishop within the next couple of moves - and then it's my rook and pawn collection against his pawns: chess.com Fingers crossed
