Sadly my 2100 rated opp didn’t do that, so a double zero for me. That win lifts us to 1749th highest all-time rated daily club on chess.com

However doing it OTB in a serious event would be a whole other world of convoluted conspiracy and it's hard to imagine anyone doing it at the highest level. I know there have been a handful of mid-level cheats (which is very odd, but chess players are odd...) but they don't get anything like the same level of scrutiny.

Begs the question why cheat against a so-so chess player (me) when you’re playing for fun in a tournament that neither of us will win? 🤷‍♂️

BrianJ Aug 2023 11:25am, 30 Aug 2023 1,580 posts	0 BrianJ I've played in the 4NCL league OTB, and there have been cases of cheating in the past. In the last couple of seasons mobile phones, and even smart watches are banned in the playing area, and you may get scanned too.
