Morning campers! Or should I say morning CANNERS!!
I have been busily sorting some comms and mindfulness for the work team - I know willing working on my day off!! What the!
I have been right off the cart for at least a week, drinking too much and eating total rubbish - I have been stressed and strained and working at full steam so that my team can all go and stay at home and carry on working as long as we have work to do
Totally agree with all your posts above and we can use this forum to keep us all saine and working towards longer term goals while we play our part in distancing and being sensible
Today I have hit the reset button and want to set some straight forwards goals that I can keep to in the coming weeks
- A dose of fresh air a day - a run or a walk
- Keep clean and clean everything - I find that really theraputic and we potentially will have lots of time to declutter and shine things up in our surroundings - Laugh - lots!
- Phone people, WhatsApp people, keep talking to those who may not get much other contact
- Keep food in it's place and work some magic with store cupboard staples and whatever items you can buy
I also want to work out how to help. I already have friends who will find this time very tough. I would really like to hit on an idea that is a practical help and does not leave the recipients feeling worse, like they are charity cases, it could be as simple as buying some basics and leaving outside their house perhaps?
Love you all for being in this thread, and posting
Parkrun freedom run is a great name and idea! Good for you two DT!
I am about to put my run kit on - like you Sarahwoo I went to work in mine yesterday, it took me till 4pm to get out but my god that was one of the most appreciated runs of my life! Fresh cold spring air blasting along the seawall.. just perfect
I've just send a relaxation piece to our workforce - I'll blog it - and Northern that top 10 tips is ACE thank you!
Stay safe, talk, keep posting - we CAN

Also...
- Ginger root - best immune building sniffle buster I ever found - I am using in everything at the moment as you can still get it in most shops and chopped up finely can be spinkled on raw veg salads, into stews etc
- Tumeric as above and chilli's too to spice up what you can get
Just cooking a massive veg/beany stew using lentils I brought eons ago and were just lurking with no intent, and some very dry beans that really were just decorative until today!
If any of you have any good idea's for foods the next few weeks share please
I've just emptied our freezer and found - 6 Yorky puds - 2 pieces of smoked fish - Loads of ice cubes!! (Out of the ice cube tray I might add!)
- A bag of frozen sprouts!
LOL...
Big cleaning day too - that's my pre run warm up done
Sis is coming over soon and after she's been I'll be having a run out & then a walk with his nibs later

Feel so chilled now, had a hug with the family which was also well received and a laugh over a cuppa swapping crisis stories

3 mile walk done with the dogs and my eldest (keeping our distance from each other). The sunshine makes everything feel slightly less awful.

How has everyone's Monday been?
Northern - how are you holding up?
I had a chance for a beach run again - although noted that there were lots of people out here! Walking dogs etc
I am planning to come over if I am able, obvs depends on Government advise and changes over the next week or so - it just works for me to be out and in the office as there's only 3 of us we've space galore and it will mean the cleaners stay in employment - they are all local to the island and work in here alone so again no issues as such but that all might change soon
Trying to spend less social media time, think it could be good to put time into friends and relatives now and this CAN group obvs!!
Hope you are all ok xx
