Ally I will post on munro thread when I get home tonight as I would love to chat about those mountains. Just about to leave Skye.

It's really not that far for me so I have no excuse but not been back to Skye since our first visit in October 2015 or 2016. To be fair I've done a fair amount of exploring of other parts of the highlands since moving here. The heavy tourist presence puts me off.

Ally-C Sep 2023 10:59am, 25 Sep 2023 4,232 posts	0 Ally-C I’ve vague memories of Skye in the 70s. Driving from Cumbernauld via a ferry at Ballachulish, then another at Kyle of Lochalsh, then through Skye to Uig, another ferry to Harris then on to my grandparents on Lewis.

We went out at 8:30am again so I could swim in the beach pool whilst the tide was low. It’s been such a gorgeous day - sunny, warm, it too much wind - that we went for a long walk afterwards. We got a phone call from the caravan site asking if we are ok as no-one has seen us for a few days. No-one else gets up and out as early as us 😁
