Yesterday was minging though and we went to Portree and every eating place was rammed. Didn't help that half the places were shut as it was Sunday. There were no cars at the fairy pools when we went past but it was very early in the morning. The roads have been quiet. That sounds good. I'll never go in July/August again, but will definitely still go at other times.

We bought a newly converted three-year old van from them and had a nightmare time with exhaust/emissions/AdBlue monitoring systems all being unreliable. However, I am 99% sure this was due to the original owner of the van being Avis and a lot of its prior use not being what diesels are designed for. If you’re buying a new van, you won’t have any of that, so it needn’t alarm you. As for the conversion itself, we found it all very very good - well designed, well executed! When are you picking it up?

That sounds rubbish Synge about this issues you’ve had. Any recommendations for insurance companies?

They are specialists in modified vans and took a list of everything that needed to be included in the insurance. Don't go by comparison websites though, as they will insure it as a base van which will drastically undervalue your van.
