Yesterday - goldcrests, coal tits, red squirrel, unidentified bird of prey (too fast and low in dense woodland). This morning - red admiral butterfly in my garden in the Scottish highlands!

Very envious of your treecreeper, DT. They're birds I don't see very often, although there are a couple of big old oaks in a patch of woodland about a mile from my house which has proved productive in the past. I associate them very much with oak trees.

Forgot I also saw a dipper yesterday and some swans in a field. Couldn’t stop to investigate as was on bike and a farm lorry was approaching. Suspect whooper.
