I'm in Agnes Water, Queensland RS.
I showed my pic of the lizard around this evening and everyone said that it was a goanna after all.

I went looking for redwing in the usual field this afternoon but didn’t find any. Youngest says he’s seen quite a few in Hampshire

I have heard but not seen Redwing over the last couple of days.
On Thursday and Friday I saw a flock of small finches flitting between bitch trees and eating the catkins. Very slight reddish blush on the chest of some. Lesser redpoll, according to Merlin.

Redwing today at Leighton Moss. As well as, I think, the year's first siskin.
I tend to leave Mmerlin running in a pocket when on reserves. Today it came up with Hawfinch & Hooded Crow, as well as the more mundane. Both possible I guess, esp the finch, and esp after the recent storm, but no record of either.
