I'll take the hooded crows and you can have the mole that is currently making my back garden impossible to manage. Seriously, someone please take it!

I was just about to say Carrion Crows and Hooded Crows are the same species, so you've already got them... but I thought I'd better check, and they are now (since 2002!) separate species. Bl**dy splitters.

(I'm more of a lumper than a splitter, personally en.wikipedia.org )

Must have been a thousand pinkies just passed over my house heading towards the Solway and Caerlaverock. A magnificent sight that I'll never get bored with.

Not got pinkie fever yet, but I hope to see and hear plenty of them in the next month or so. Coast here is pretty good for them. Holkham Marshes can be a rather special place as the day draws to a close.

First redwings spotted near Bingley on Friday according to local bird group listing. Keep ‘em peeled kids. Waxwing can’t be long ;-)

Good evening! I'm on Menorca this week. I went out on to my hotel balcony a couple of hours after arriving and saw a Hoopoe flying over nearby trees. It'll be interesting to see what else is around.

Neve knowingkgly seen any before, but guess what was flying aroung Lindos today?
Looked very much like Hooded Crows, and the web seems to confirm they are in Greece.
Will need to check my photos later to see if any came oiut (they were quite a way away and alway moving)
