Several swallows over the recently harvested fields today, also some form of bird of prey scared out of a bush as I ran past but it moved too quick to properly identify it

Still seeing swallows over the river leading into the fjord here at around 59 deg North. No idea what they do later.

Swallows will stick around a lot longer than swifts, although presumably will clear off from 59 degrees north a lot earlier than the swallows round here (Norfolk) would. Out of interest, @NordRunner, where are you?

I’m just in from a run up the hill and round the village. Two swift seen and heard. I said if you’re young good luck, and if you’re old thank you

Ooh. May have been quick off the mark, 2, albeit high-flying and looking lonely, swifts.

The screaming has returned just in time for lunch. Definitely not as many today though.
