Make most of the swifts. They’ll be gone and very soon

The swift campaigner, I want to call her Hannah but that's a guess, was suggesting yesterday the swifts may have started to head south. I noticed plenty over my girlfriend's house yesterday. I don't think I've noticed any this year on my road but that might just be timing. Plenty on the houses opposite work this year, got me through many days!!!

They’ve been going back for a while. My target this week is to get one before they’re gone

Questions:
1. When do people normally see their last swift of the summer? 2. When do people hear their last blackbird song of the summer?

I saw a swallow about 8th October last year, in Rhodes and heading south determinedly.

Still got swifts on my walk into work this morning. Partly using this post to update the questions above and maybe a reminder for next year when they head south.

Very quiet on this morning’s walk. A few wren singing and one chiffchaff. No swift

Still screeching here. Maybe a daily post from me now until they stop...
