what classes as a wader?
Depends which "authority" you ask. This became a topic of debate this while down in Norfolk earlier this year, and we came to the conclusion that while there is no one taxonomical definition most people have the same understanding of it.

My garage was invaded by swallows yesterday, three of them came in for a quick neb around and clearly decided it wasn't a suitable residence 🙂

At the house I grew up in (in South Africa) we had a Swallow nest in our patio area underneath the balcony. Most years however the swifts claimed it first. The precision required to fly in at some speed and fold their wings at the last moment to enter a tunnel that was probably less than the diameter of a tennis ball was astounding
