I think there are two pairs nesting along the Skerne in South Park and along the old pitch and putt course this year

I've been trying for a cuckoo for a few weeks now but not heard one yet. :(

I do seem to have seen a lot more swallows than in recent years though.

I was in your neighbourhood on Saturday Paul and had a Peregrine stalking Swifts over West Park. It seemed to decide they were too diffcult and wandered off to the north.

Wow. I think Darlington, mind the entire Tees Valley area, would be the least peregrine place I could imagine.

I was further afield on Sunday. Though I have seen one in South Park before. I've had more luck on various parts of the Tees around town too.
