Just been out doing a circuit around the Forest of Bowland, it was curlew and lapwing craziness - they were everywhere 🙂

Did a 10 mile race in the Norfolk countryside today and every year I hear lots of whitethroats on the route. Today was no exception, loads of them out there, in the hawthorn hedgerows. Quite a few willow warblers as well, and 3 or 4 yellowhammers.

Given up with the wretched cuckoo. Going to try for dodo or Norwegian blue next tile we’re out

DT, the Swiss are to blame. They trap huge numbers of them in migration and put them to work in clocks. It's a wretched state of affairs.
