Nice one RR. Our local one comes by about once very few weeks or so.
Built a mesh "cage" for the flat tray as the pigeons were gobbling up all the meal worms. Seems to working so far but we will see how long it lasts. If only they were such pigs I don't mind feeding them a bit but they absolutely destroy the place.

Brambling in the garden! First of the winter(??), possibly the first for a couple of years. A very smart male, pecking about under the bird feeder with the chaffinches.

Visiting Fochabers and went for a walk along the burn. Saw 2 dippers and a chiffchaff. First chiffchaff I've seen. Heard them plenty of times.

Very bad photo - at max digital zoom on the phone camera - of a Short Eared Owl, who was happy to sit and pose for a picture through the car window.

Should say - I THINK it's a short eared owl.
Today's excitement was a Peregrine freaking Falcon which decided to fly alongside the car as we tootled along to Wick. I almost drove off the road ......
