Thinking of a trip to Keyhaven tomorrow, before the roads and car parks get too busy with tourists. Or even day trippers like me. Unless sea bird (waders mostly) activity and numbers drop in the heat?

A lot of waders will be up North (northern Europe and the Arctic circle, not Watford) breeding, but I'd still go; it's a fantastic environment for birding. THE time to go is August, when the young birds make their first trip south

It's the grockles though DT. Too many of those in July and August, in and around Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst and Lymington. Even with local knowledge, sometimes the roads, and car parks get jammed.
No egrets, herons, cormorants, terns, geese (various), ducks (various), grebes, kestrels, buzzards or eagles on your list? You'll have to come back. I'll send you a pass that says 'not a grockle, invited by a local'.

We have a garage that isn't in amazing condition. It's just used for wood so the door stays open.
Just found this in there.
