Eynsham Red
I put out a new feeder (sunflower hulls) a few days ago and the goldfinches have taken to it straight away. There is now no queuing for the niger seed feeder. I may well move the niger feeder away from the flower bed as there is a large growth of “stuff” underneath.

I spotted a turnstone just now on a pile of seaweed. When I watched a bit more i saw it was with about 40 others. They are so well camouflaged!

I heard lots of lapwings when I opened my balcony door this morning but couldn't see them in the dawn light. I also saw lots of Brent geese flying around over the weekend. Didn't really have a chance to stop and look properly at anything else. Perhaps I'll head to some nearby marshes at low tide now I'm back home.
