The earliest swallow I have ever seen was At Patrick's Day about 8-10 years back. A good few weeks ahead of it's friends. I love seeing them arrive

We have reported sightings of Sand Martin here today, records go back to the early nineties for the res and that's a record by 8 days for this part of Derbyshire.

Another Chiff today. Sand Martins often arrive around here (Glamorgan) in early March and on 23rd February 2016. In 2017 it was 5th March. |

A rare visit this afternoon to my feeders by a pair of Willow Tits. Simultaneously I also had a flock of LTTs plus the usual Blue, Great and Coal Tits. The first time I can recall seeing all five together
