Very spring-like on my late afternoon - evening walk. I’m not sure if I saw a dipper! :-O

Red rumped Swallow in my county this last few days (I've not seen it but many have and photos are superb!) Male Blackcap in garden this morning after a "dawn chorus" of singing Blackbird, Robin, Dunnock, Wren...
No lists Derby Tupp! Not essential but I've found that keeping "notes" and records since I began birding 60 years ago are just good to paw over and recollect. Great reminders and they take me back to days when birds were much less threatened.

New one for me on my regular run route this morning - a dabchick. Also, reed buntings singing from the tops of bushes. Countryside full of birdsong today, very spring-like.

The remains of our local blackbird in the garden this morning along with one of the local cats stalking the feeders😞 Don't mind it when it's nature, cats are not part of nature though.

agree Bonners - I keep a high powered water pistol in my kitchen for that very reason

Barn owl again this evening, on cue 25 mins after official sunset. Tempted to set up some sort of hide and a decent camera - shame the only good one I have needs 35mm film...

Out for a walk in shorts (!) this afternoon.... skylark singing 😍 by the farm, oystercatchers, GCGrebe dancing with each other (no weed though) and plenty of ducks on the golf course lake 👍 few buzzards and a kestrel, male pheasant jay and redwing, treecreeper along with the usual suspects of tits and chaffinch. Lots to see because we hadn’t taken binoculars 😂

Shorts though! 😳😳😳 beautiful day 😀

I’ve not seen a dipper on my last two or three visits to the usual local spots - I reckon they’re busy working on making baby dippers
