Fragile Do Not Bend
A flock of fieldfare visited my garden at lunchtime, making good use of the pond to splash around in. New species for my garden tick list! I spotted them just as I was going to leave for work so I made myself slightly late. Oops.

Several dippers around us on the Rochdale canal, so they obviously have wide margins of error on rocky, fast-flowing and clean!

Couple of days out in the Dales. Two Dippers yesterday along the river near Stonehouse in the afternoon sun and a fleeting glimpse of several Curlew in the swirling clag and sharp wind on Great Coum today. Lots of birdsong in yesterday's sun, today everything with any sense was tucked away, particularly as the afternoon wore on.

A couple of Skylarks giving it all they've got above the local farmers fields. A real joy.

Great stuff. Mistletoe thrush seemingly singing from every tree here at the moment. Saw a magpie today carrying nesting material

Oycs in the fields and Curlews calling over the res on this morning's run. Also a fine male Goldeneye right by the shore in amongst the whistling Wigeon, rare to see one that close in, they normally sit out in the deeper water. Brief glimpse of a Treecreeper as I watched the Bullfinches flitting across the track in front of me and everywhere singing Great Tits, they certainly think spring has sprung!

Some lovely spring like spotting going on. Eating my lunch on the seafront today and some of the black headed gulls already have their full face colour

A cacophony of birdsong on my morning run, in the first mile i'd had over a dozen different songs or calls including yellowhammer, green woodpecker, skylarks, pheasant, jay, nuthatch and a view of a goldcrest. Reckon the count was well over 20 by the end with assorted tits, finches, thrushes and unusually for me a dunnock singing from the top of a tree.
