Ooh. There is one, nicknamed "Red", that is now at Old Moor and has been identified as one that was born in Wakefield. The Wakefield pair has had three successful seasons so it could be one of theirs.

Song thrush singing loudly on my regular run today. Hold your horses, mate, it's just a milder day, not spring yet!

I had the first siskin on my (very cheap) new niger feeder today. It's been weeks since I put it up.They loved the old (posh) one, until it fell apart. Maybe they don't like yellow.

I need to replace the tube on the old one, but spares only seem to be available in the us.

Still loads of coal tits and very few great tits. Regular gsw and nuthatch, but fewer ltts than most years.

I've not seen a Fieldfare yet..let alone one in my garden mulbs! Great to see numbers of Pied Wags..lucky you.
Waxwing all alone was a nice surprise Heizster.
Song Thrushes singing here and there along my running routes and another Blackbird singing loudly at first light today. Otherwise all quite quiet and little about.
