i must have the same cheap niger feeder as you, jacdaw. It has also remained resolutely empty of birds and full of seed... :-(

Merry Christmas, all, my spot of the day was snow buntings on the dunes at Kinmel Bay. Been going down all week with my binoculars and keep missing them. Had given up and then literally ran into them on my Xmas day run this morning!!!!! Very excited, absolute first for me.

I saw a jay in the woods on my run this morning and I'm looking at a big crow eating bread on the lawn.

Living a city is kinda sad fauna wise, but it's hilarious to watch, not the birds, but the cat watching the birds. It drives her mad, and I have then to deal with her frustration, but it's still hilarious.
