Solitary waxwing again today, I assume the same one. And a jay 😁. I think that is only the 4th I have ever seen, and much closer to home

Busy day on the feeders. Just had a party of 8 LTT to add to the usual suspects at home and the at the ones I pass on my run in no more than a minute I saw multiple Great, Coal and Willow Tits plus pairs of Chaffinch, Robin and Nuthatch with Blackbirds, Pheasants and a Magpie underneath. Also had a fleeting glimpse of a Goldcrest on the run. 😀

Fantastic DT. Long tailed tits mobbed the feeders again today, not regulars yet, but certain regular tourists :D

Lots of cute little rock pipits on Portland Bill the other day as well as a solitary oyster catcher in the waves on a rock and a kestrel whizzing across right in front of us. I think he'd just finished his dinner and perched on a window sill in the sunshine for a good wash and preen.

Portland Bill! Now there's a place to go in autumn! Nice to see Rock Pipits though... Yes..Song Thrushes singing daily down here for quite a while. Very mild today and a male Blackcap in the garden.

Where we usually walk the dogs, which is a couple of square miles of greenbelt about a mile outside Coventry city center currently has 4 Little Egret in one of the horse fields. There was one for a few weeks at the start of the year and two for a few days about a month ago. I'm assuming they are migrants having a rest. Although there is a stream, small pond and the start of the river Sherbourne there, I'm not sure there is enough to sustain them. The heron that hangs around there is being reported on the local Facebook group as being responsible for stealing from garden ponds
