Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

To be fair and exact: I didn't 'really' know what a haiku was until they appeared on Fetch some years ago. My partner Raffo, nine years younger than I am, said he 'did' them at school. We didn't.

I first came across haiku in a GP textbook called The Inner Consultation, in which, if I recall correctly, the reason was ... actually, the author was a fancy-bedancy RCGP chap and he probably just wanted to show off some of his own wee poems.

I've spent an enjoyable few minutes reading about the "rules" of haiku, and not worried too much about them. Apologies to any poets!

My first experience of Haiku was in Hunt for the Wilderpeople I think.

Some of the haikus are brilliant. Some people cannot count to 5. or 7
I will admit to using an online syllable counter.

Can't read some of the blogs today to get story behind the polls :(
Am I right in thinking you can just make one blog public when all the rest are buddies only?

There's a global setting allowing you to ring fence all of your blogs. If this is set to buddies only, then even individual blogs marked as public are not visible. However, if the global setting is public, you can then control the visibility of individual blogs.

I guess you could ask the folks who posted a poll whether you could go on their buddies list.
