I'll be descending on the lovely Lake District tomorrow for a full on weekend of leading my fellow club mates around the fells - and the bars ;-) 25 Harriers staying at Borrowdale YHA , a run over to Keswick via Honistor , Dale head , Catbells etc on a wet looking Saturday followed by a few drinks in town - usually chips then bus back down the valley , the Sunday morning the annual club "Castle Crag Challenge" - hand on YHA bar then run up to the Castle Crag summit as quickly as you can ...........

Morning all. Has anyone any experience of Waterfoot Park near Pooley Bridge? Looking at a weekend away towards end of November and they have a self-catering 'cottage' available. Any reviews would be most welcome

Well it was all a bit and windy (some of it in the YHA dorms ;-) ) but a great weekend had by all - even those who for some reason thought they would be fine running over Lakeland fells in very wet conditions in road shoes ......... I did try and tell them ........... did they fall over ........... of course .......... did I laugh ............ not to their faces no ;-)

We will be in Staveley this weekend with a group of the Resolution Runners. We are doing the Coniston Lakeland Trail on Saturday (in theory, bit anxious about the weather).

Saturday looks like it'll be nice. Sunday, less so.

Last time I did the Coniston Lakeland Trail I got sunburned.
