um
If you go the Helm Crag, Gibson Knot route, you have a simple choice at the top of Easedale Gill - you can see Greenup Edge, High Raise etc, and also the gentle downhill path back to Grasmere down Easedale Gill. So easy to bale out or carry on.
The route up to Sargent Man, High Raise via Easedale Tarn is a fairly gentle continuous climb and again offers the Easedale Gill or Gibson Knot / Helm Crag routes back. Last time I did that from Grasmere (well, a cottage just over the road from the village) was 11 miles (my companions that day chose the 'easy' route back down Easdale Gill rather more ups & downs)

Ooops - the photo is on a rolling sequence, so you may need to refresh the page to get the right photo

CumbriAndy
That's a worry - pictures of me - must be trying to put people off.

Thankfully I couldn't find it - but the shot of four Fetchies together (only two in Fetch colours) includes flanker, Phal, missvivvy and KinkyS - Dave must have been in a different event that day.

I saw the photo of CumbriAndy, and I'm sure there's one of Lisrun and MelanieLH, though not in Fetch kit.
