Damp at Low Wray. Frustratingly, warning signs are up of the blue green algae.

Apart from near Allermuir and Castelaw on the Pentlands today I didn't see another person. It was so peaceful and tranquil, just me and the sheep and grouse.

If one were considering a couple of part-days out (rather than one rather nice looking longer one) and had the Derwent Fells (at least Catbells, Maiden Moor, High Spy, Dale Head, Hindscarth, and Robinson) accessible, in which "half" would Dale Head best fit? looks like an out and back from Hindscarth has the least steep climb?
(all pie-in-sky, but a girl can hope for weather and mojo to coincide)

Start in Newlands. Catbells, Maiden Moor, High Spy, Dale Head. Honister for a cuppa and a biscuit. Then Dale Head, Hindscarth, Robinson, to the finish back in Newlands. If itβs warm, paddle in the river afterwards π
