I'm thinking of starting a petition to rename the BG the Alan Heaton Round (because that's what it really is) and then reallocate the BG title to his actual round, then if I get in quick and beat 23.39 I could have the BG record

A cunning plan
As it happens, I have been reading about Mr Heaton's exploits lately - I've got the Club's copy of Fred Rogerson's book in my possession right now and it's interesting stuff, you can only dip into it every now and again though as it is a bit repetitive.

The height to the west of Great Lingy Hill (which is the most definitive of these) at 304338 is referred to by Birkett as Little Lingy Hill, which is reasonable, but it is catalogued by hill-bagging.co.uk as Miller Moss, which I think is surprising. My list has it as Iron Crag, naming it for the feature on the north side.
I don't think Miller Moss is a summit at all, it's a moss!
I listed the slight prominence to the south as Little Lingy Hill, but accept that I am probably in a minority of one in listing it at all. 😀 (The chaps at hill-bagging.co.uk give it a 5-metre drop.)
