From BBC Cumbria, words fail me 😡

Some of the people caught camping illegally in the Lake District at the weekend, and leaving behind litter, told rangers they thought the national park was owned by the whole country, and that it was someone's job to clear up after them t.co

because "the media" call the lakes and the peaks and the dales "national parks" and if they do explain what that really means nothing further is heard.

In era of headlines and soundbites, the phrase "national park" is unfortunate.

- of course rational people don't leave litter in their local park or anywhere else either, but making a mess wherever they are seems to be the norm for many.

:(

- mum and I are plotting a scenic route to drive up on the 10th - not sure the A1 or the A66 will be much fun and seeing at we can't access the cottage until 6pm, we might as well enjoy the road trip.

I'm glad I didn't know about the sale - I could have been tempted to spend too much money on the Doddick one :)

£740 for the Doddick sounds a bargain versus Striding Edge
