No jets so far today, um. Apart from a few bleating baa-lambs and some harsh winds higher up, I heard nothing but the contents of my Spotify playlist.

Love Loughrigg. Out via Coffin route from Ambleside and back that way.
Great photos VP.

Nice pics. The biggest headache with Loughrigg is working out which of the many bumps is the actual summit

Go with the trig point. Ordnance survey guys/gals choose the highest point, don't they?

By all means bag the trig but then go find the best views (assuming you’re not BGing, in which case get moving on)

Sorry, I don't think I agree with the trig point thing - if you consult the DoBH, you'll find that quite often the highest surveyed point of a given hill is not in fact the trig point. Take Helvellyn as an example - the cairn at the end of the summit plateau (ie. the end of Striding Edge) is the summit. I can think of loads more examples, only last week I was on Ben More and the trig point is some distance away from the summit cairn.
This gets even more difficult with Wainwright-bagging, as very often the WW summit and actual summit are wildly disparate.
