Valyrian Plastic
It is, NE. The stone plinth that you can see in the middle of the panoramic shot features Wainwright's own words.
"...quite suddenly, we emerged from the trees and were on a bare headland, and, as though a curtain had dramatically been torn aside, beheld a truly magnificent view. ..."
It's not a very difficult hike - the first two-thirds of it are on-road - and it's difficult to get lost (unless you're really trying to, of course).

Had a lovely day hillwalking last Sunday. From grasmere, up helm crag / Gibson Knott / Calfcrag. Then across Steel Fell to Dead pike and descended back down Cotra Breast.
Just noticed the climb to Helm Crag is a strava segment! 11.53 mins! Phillippo van der Winkle from Keswick. Is that for real??

VP it’s a great little summit. I’m discovering there are several 200m viewpoints east of windermere with great panoramas. Orrest Head. Brantfell, Rosthwaite heights.
