Have a proper look at the coast too if you go out there :-)

When you look out across the sea, it looks like an attack by hundreds of giant triffids is imminent as they march closer..!

They were talking about Duddon on the radio earlier- I don’t know that area at all.

Camp Rosehip all set up, should have brought big tent for this weather but needed boot space to cart some of daughter’s stuff home so I bought a tarp to extend this one- no views today but am dry and comfortable:)

We're going to the Duddon Valley in July - we went last year and loved it. So quiet, even in school holidays

Up to Coniston this weekend for the hideously early-starting Lakeland Trails Marathon Challenge. If I could definitely run the course within 6 hours, I could start at 9am, which is so much more civilised than 7am. 🙄 I should train harder...

Love Duddon, you feel properly removed from the world.

We plan to have a week in the Duddon Valley with the bike. It seems daft to go on holiday in the county we live in, but I think it'll be worthwhile.

Me too, beebop. It's revoltingly early, isn't it?

The Duddon is rubbish. Keep away . . . ;-)

Stef and I had three or four weeks at the tiny cottage at Cockley Beck during the height of ‘the Obsession’ and really loved it. Tons of great running out of the door

eL Bee! and I had a week in a cottage in Ulpha with all our children plus a few extras one summer. It rained a lot.
