Just took a peek at the GF webcam - hmm, maybe my plan to bag a few of the central fells whilst they were relatively "dry" needs a rethink.

the forecast isn't the most encouraging - but I have a 3-night pass, so I'm bloody well going to use it!

You should definitely use it Ros. If it's any consolation, it's pissing down in the Highlands too 🙄

I shall - but I might take note of Wainright's "This is a walk to wish on one's worst enemy especially after rain " and not do the Bleabberry - High Seat loop I was thinking about!

We walked the route up there mid August a few years ago. Was very boggy.

Sensible. That could be a "and that's the last we saw of Ros" moments.

I think you should be OK, Rosehip.
Fusedale, after a night of moderately heavy rain was really dry, as predicted by flanker.
When I did Bleaberry Fell and High Seat from Ashness Bridge with eldest son a few years back it wasn't too bad. However Armboth Fell and High Tove from Thirlmere side in August 2007 they were an absolute abomination of bog, bog and more bog. Hated it. Never been back.

Visit to the SW corner this weekend - might be a trip up outlying fells - Blackcombe most likely. Good view of Duddon Sands Windfarm..!
