Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

You can start any time on the day, I don't mind. Preferably before midday, so that we all get something to watch. I suspect the only people who mind are the folks who want to be 'last person standing' - but I guess it adds to the jeopardy :-)

I've decided I'm out. Not fit and just too many other things going on.

Have fun everyone.

I’m just giving it a go and will do a few 5 km. Don’t suppose there’s anyone on the south coast (between Worthing and Eastbourne) who’d like to join me for a few laps?

Just checking... For people in different time zones. Fetch HQ 9am equates to my 6pm. If I do start at 8am, let's say, that'd be 11pm the day before (Fetch HQ time). And there are timezones even further ahead. I realise this is complicating things. I would just be doing it for myself so no problem if there's no way for me to click so early.

You can start logging flaps whenever - so if it’s on the day for you, that’s fine. I’ll clear the scoreboard at some point on Friday and keep an eye on it.

It'd be great if you folks can take pics and do some blogging on the day - and hopefully we can get more people involved next time.

I'm planning to start with a jog to parkrun, a parkrun and then a jog back home to cover the first three F'Laps. Thereafter I have a ⅓ mile loop on which I live and which also contains two Indian restaurants, a Chinese takeaway, a chip shop and a pizza place along with a convenience store, a paper shop and a hairdresser. I think I have everything covered without ever being more than 250 metres from my front door. :-)
