Thanks. Back edge of the throwing circle then.

Subjective as the comments say. Open to abuse and interpretation and therefore protest.

There's always some subjectivity in shot put I think; the requirements of the "put" from the neck is a bit like the cricket struggles with bent arms. Though in fairness, I've not seen technique penalised at elite level (a lot at club level though, usually by picky officials who really don't care that their 3x fouls for a 3.5m thrower just trying to do their bit for the club and who has never tried it before might be a little disheartened by Olympic level scrutiny of their first timers' technique by a 12 year old!)

Ho hum, anyone else see one of the UK's OTHER heptathletes doing fantastically well this morning? Lifetime bests for Jade O'Dowda in the HJ - also gives her PB in points accrued after two events. Nice work, Jade.
yes she's been doing really well - bronze in Commonwealths, it would be great for her to do well in Munich. Nafi seems to be running away with it though. Can't see KJT catching Nafi next year even if she gets back to her 2019 form.

Isn’t the cause of cramp whatever you are trying to sell? Maybe they want to be Precision Hydration influencers 😂 I didn’t like the tone of the interview - trying to get a story which didn’t exist.

What's with the floppy hand "technique" that some of the Heptathletes seem to use in the Javelin. They did it at the world champs too.
It looks ridiculous!

Yes she really is. She has the misfortune to be running at the same time as two other amazing 400mH runners, but least she can win the Europeans!

That’s what people said about Dick Fosbury’s HJ technique! If it works and people throw further using it then it will stay, if it’s just a relaxation technique then it will likely fade away
